About The Founder:
I began traveling the world in my teens to visit family and explore Europe during college. As a travel agent, I visited sixty-five more countries and noticed different sweeteners served with coffee and tea. In some hot, humid regions, sweeteners had higher melting points. Other countries offered unique sugars that were very different from the standard white sugar I knew from rural Kankakee County, Illinois. I started bringing these sugars home as souvenirs for family and friends. By 2012, many of these sugars were in specialty shops. I love to mix and experiment, so I gave jars of my unique blends as holiday gifts, and everyone loved them! I discovered that coffee tastes much better with the right sugar. Over the years, I experimented with spices, fresh citrus, and unique flavors to find the best combinations. One day, an ex-bartender called me a Gourmet Sugar Mixologist for blending culinary tradition with innovative ideas. That's how Bellflower Blends began in 2024.
Now I work with a small creative team of people who help me in the kitchen and in the office. They make the days that much sweeter!
At Bellflower Blends, my goal is to create sugars that dazzle the eye, delight the palate, smell pleasing to the noise, and bring you joy.
