Warm Ginger Spice Sugar Blend
Time to spice things up!
We found ourselves unimpressed by most of the ginger sugars offered out there because they were either: not gingery enough, too gingery, or tasted too artificial. So we started fresh.
Using Organic Ginger Root, we used a mandolin to make fresh, tiny 1/8-inch cubes and simmered them with organic sugar and spices for 8 hours. We then add the ginger and spice mixture to a curated selection of global sugars, dry it, and then add some colorful sugars to make the whole blend just the right amount of hot, spicy, and visually delightful.
Pouches come in five sizes: 1 oz, 3 oz, 5.2 oz, 10 oz, and 16 oz (One Pound)
We use Certified Organic ingredients whenever available.
Vegan. Non-GMO. Kosher.
Allergy Alert: No wheat, soy, nut, sesame, dairy, or gluten is included in this recipe, but it’s made and packaged in a Certified Commercial Kitchen that handles a wide variety of foods. So, err on the side of caution if your allergies are dangerous.
Ingredients:
Organic Cane, Turbinado, Demerara Sugars, Organic Ginger, Belgian Brown Beet Rock Sugar, Organic Honey, Organic Panella Sugar, Organic Lime, Organic Lemon, Swedish Pearl Sugar, Indian Misri Sugar, Indian Sugar Crystals, Gold & Yellow Sparkling Sugar (Cane Sugar Crystals, Yellow #5, Food Grade Carnauba wax), Organic Cloves, Organic Cinnamon, Organic Allspice, Organic Nutmeg, Organic Mace, Organic Pepper, Citric Acid (preservative).
Note: Alcohol Content of final product: > .5%
Uses and More:
-For ideas on using Warm Ginger Spice, or any of our sugar blends, please visit our “Uses” and “Recipies” pages for more information and inspiration.
-If you want to use this sugar in recipes and need a finer grain, a quick couple of pulses in a food processor will make the larger pieces smaller for baking, rimming your favorite cocktail, sprinkling atop sweet baked goods, and more…
-In our efforts to give you the purest ingredients, you may find bits of Vanilla Bean seeds, Lemon and Lime Zest, and Ginger specks at the bottom of your coffee or tea cup. These are edible and are part of what makes our blends honest and genuine.
Warning: Sugar pieces can sometimes be rock hard and have a real crunch unless melted in something warm.
